Services Provided
Initial Consultation - This initial appointment is a thorough intake of information including health history, concerns, and an assessment of your prakruti and vikruti. (It lasts about 2 hours)
Report of Findings - After careful assessment of the above information, this appointment will be used to explain your constitution and your current imbalances. The first steps on your healing journey will be initiated with a detailed individualized program, which will give you the tools to return to balance. I will also make you customized herbal formulas to support your healing journey. (This appointment is about 1 hour)
Follow Up Visits - Recommended every 2 weeks to begin with. We will review and assess your last visit and integrate more of your healing plan into action (This appointment is about 1 hour.)
Customized Herbal Formulas - I will make you customized organic herbal formulas. I support sustainable, ecologically friendly methods of farming, harvesting and wildcraft collection of herbs.
Shirodhara - (flowing oil on the forehead) A very powerful Ayurvedic treatment where warm oil gently streams onto the forehead to pacify the mindand create a deep intuitive and meditative state. This treatment is good for anxiety and insomnia and revitalizes the central nervous system.
Netra Vasti - (eye cleansing therapy) Our eyes are constantly bombarded with stimuli creating adverse effects on our vision and our minds. During Netra Vasti the eyes are bathed in a pool of ghee which improves eyesight, balances the nervous system and helps smooth away wrinkles.
Yoga Therapy - Yoga therapy uses assisted Yoga poses and breathing techniques to release aches and pains in the body as well as working with underlying emotions or beliefs that may prevent the release of tensions held in the body. This often creates greater emotional clarity, peace of mind, and relief from physical pain.
Private Yoga Instruction - Iyengar Yoga is a system of Yoga postures (asanas) and breathing (pranayama) for all ages, abilities and walks of life. Iyengar Yoga emphasizes precision and correct alignment of the body. The use of props makes the asanas accessible to all, weak or strong, beginning or advanced students alike. Iyengar Yoga teaches the purity of intention and the integrity of process. Carla will create an individualized Yoga practice that fits your needs and supports your healing.
